COURAGE IS A GIFT

Courage is one of the greatest gifts you have. But it can be the hardest gift to give to yourself. 

Courage is truly simple but can feel so complicated. You want courage to show up in big and little ways. But you keep yourself hidden. Playing small instead of taking that first step towards courage.

See, courage has been waiting for you all along. Welcoming you at the door. Waiting to welcome you in.

Somewhere along the way, your younger self needed to be seen, heard, and valued. And when that kind of courage did not show up, your heart began to chip away. It chipped away and caused you to question your worthiness. Wondering if you could accept yourself with all your imperfections. And all your feelings.

You began to look at the reflection in the mirror with doubt, fear and shame. Courage could not thrive in that lense. Cloudiness permeated, requiring you to constantly search for clarity outside of yourself.

This search took you on a path without direction. Lost in the wilderness. Constantly outside. Instead of within - where your soul begs to be found. The search continues aimlessly leading you to dead ends.

But you don’t trust yourself. You constantly choose doubt and fear, wondering if you measure up. Measure up to the world. Measure up to fit in a box. Measure up to feel validated.

And what you do not realize is all that searching is for naught. If you could pause to really listen to the whispers, truly listen, you would find all the clarity within you.

You may just begin to see the courage that has been waiting for you.

This courage is strong, powerful and always available. It reminds you of who you are and who you are meant to be. This courage does not wallow in darkness. It focuses on the light. It has always been there. Surrounding you every step of the way.

When you can finally step into your courage, your heart begins to come alive,  and you can finally begin to live the truest version of yourself. Free of doubt. Free of worry. Free of fear.
